School districts must provide training for all individuals involved with the district’s Title IX compliance, including:
The Title IX Coordinator: Responsible for implementing Title IX requirements throughout the district, receiving complaints, designating investigators and decision-makers, and implementing supportive measures.
Investigators: The Title IX Coordinator will designate one or more investigator(s) to handle each Title IX complaint. The investigator may be the Title IX Coordinator or a designee (e.g., other district staff, or third parties). The investigator must be free of bias or conflicts of interest.
Decision-makers: The Title IX Coordinator will designate a decision-maker to handle each Title IX complaint. The decision-maker must not be the same individual who investigated the complaint and must not be the Title IX Coordinator. The decision-maker must be free of bias or conflicts of interest.
